Miranda Kerr and David Jones launch A/W 2012 fashion

Miranda Kerr didn’t have a swimsuit moment on the David Jones runway this time around. "I'm glad I'm not in another bikini, especially with people this close," she said. But in spite of covering up, the department store’s fashion ambassador turned in a no-less-stunning catwalk performance, opening in a sleek Josh Goot tuxedo and closing in a beaded Collette Dinnigan dress (a preview of the collection the designer is showing in Paris next month).

The newly refurbished seventh floor of DJs, On Seven, hosted 300 VIP guests in an intimate dinner-style setting, with the runway on the same level as the audience, which included Dannii Minogue, Delta Goodrem, Megan Gale, Gracie Otto and Miranda’s parents.

So what does David Jones have in store for us this autumn/winter 2012? Its impressive roster of designers - which include Dion Lee, Carla Zampatti, Lover, camilla and marc, Willow, Thurley and many more - delivered some highly covetable winter-wardrobe options in the form of structured coats, fun printed dresses, and luxe knits and evening dresses to get you through the long winter ahead.
