Luxup Launch

LUXUP, a new invitation-only club for international travellers with a love of luxury shopping, is launching this summer - and some of fashion's most influential names are on board for the launch. Recently departed Harvey Nichols buying director Averyl Oates has been enlisted as the company's new commercial director; Vogue's current fashion features director, Harriet Quick, will serve as editorial director; and British Fashion Council ambassador for emerging talent Sarah Mower will be the site's new London fashion curator. Luxup will offer members exclusive products and money-can't-buy retail experiences in cities all over the world; beginning with international shoppers visiting London this summer. Working with partners from airlines to banks, Luxup will invite travellers to join the site before introducing them to shops in the city they plan to visit - giving them access to special events including fashion and trunk shows and one-to-one chats with the designer. "The industry is being powered globally by the strength of the travelling buyer of luxury and fashion," joint CEO Corsellis said today. "Our aim is to offer that new global consumer the warmest welcome and access to the fashion insider's world, while giving luxury brands a new way to interact with global travellers."
