Chanel: Beauty Tribute

CHANEL's seasonal fashion shows are not only highly-anticipated due to the beautiful clothes, covetable accessories and impressive model line-up - they are also known for the creative catwalk make-up. From autumn/winter 2012-13's jewelled brows to spring/summer 2004's turquoise smoky eyes and blue mascara - models at the Chanel shows have been sporting some of the most innovative beauty looks around.

From Dominique Moncourtois and Heidi Morawetz' reign to the appointment of Peter Philips as creative director of Chanel Make-Up in 2008, the fashion house has experimented with everything from heavy winged liner to strips of lace covering models' eyes, and each season sees a new and even more impressive interpretation of Karl Lagerfeld's unique message. Here we take a look back at Chanel's most innovative, extravagant and creative catwalk make-up over the years.
