1. Marni at H&M—oh, my!

What do you think?

I’m obsessed with some high-end designers. But I can’t afford anything they produce (cue the violins). So I got little-kid happy when I heard that Marni is doing a capsule collection with H&M. These collabs come fast and furious, and this stuff looks like the real deal: graphic patterns and cool textures but at un-Marni prices—$10 to $199. We can all buy it March 8 in H&M stores and online at hm.com.

2. This badass moto jacket

Motorcycle jackets have been an integral part of my wardrobe ever since I bought my very first authentic Schott one back in the early nineties. Now the same label that made me look cool in junior high—a triumph!—has come out with its MadeMe x Schott NYC Perfecto version. I love how it toughens up floral dresses or gives an edgy James Dean look when worn with jeans and a T-shirt.

3. The sporty mesh trend

This holey stuff was all over the runways at New York’s Fashion Week. And with my Caribbean heritage (we love a mesh look), it was awesome to see the sporty/beachy fabric get a high-fashion makeover. You don’t have to wear the style head to toe. Try a mesh tank with a bright pair of jeans. Perfect.

4. Kanye, the designer

At Paris Fashion Week last fall, the man had his haters. “West’s fashion debut was like being subjected to an hour-long MRI scan—but not as much fun,” wrote The Daily Telegraph. But I’m going to say: When he walked Glamour through his collection afterward, there were hidden gems. Check out these metallic pants. I’m curious to see what’s next.

5. Statement sandals


Every spring I go on a journey to find a not-too-high sandal that satisfies me as much as my usual heels. I want style and comfort at the same time! This season, Loeffler Randall answered my prayers. Their new Heart LR capsule collection is full of fun neon clogs. Cutesy and chic all at once.
