No Show
CELINE has cancelled its catwalk show this season in order to decrease demands on creative director Phoebe Philo. The designer is expecting her third child this April and LVMH is taking no chances with its star girl.
"A runway show is a very demanding and personal engagement for a creative director," Marco Gobbetti, chief executive officer of Celine, told WWD. "The objective is to simplify."
While the exact format hasn't yet been confirmed, a small presentation at the label's studios seems likely - attended by Philo of course. The date and time will remain as planned: March 4 at 1pm.
But maternity leave hasn't begun yet for Philo, who is currently busy "designing the collection with her team".
