Christian Louboutin Joins the Cabaret with Crazy Horse!

It’s no wonder that Kate Moss, Blake Lively and Naomi Campbell so love to link arm in arm at any given opportunity with shoemaker extraordinaire, Monsieur Christian Louboutin. He just looks like so much fun, don’t you think? And if his 20th anniversary celebrations are anything to go by, he’s having the funnest year to date!

Since November 2011 (his first salon opened in November 1991 en Paris, of course), the French stiletto-to-sneaker maestro has been celebrating this milestone in truly fabulous (and, as to be expected, pretty grandiose) style. First there’s the whopping great book, Les 20 Ans, charting his every iconic design, friendship and inspiration – as well as specially commissioned shots of Louboutin lovers like Dita Von Teese, Diane Von Fursternburg and Kristin Scott Thomas. Then there’s the first ever UK retrospective of his work arriving at the Design Museum on March 28.

Most excitingly, we’ve just heard that ever-creative Louboutin will be lending his fetishist shoe-designing ways to produce four very different performances for the legendarily naughty Pariesienne cabaret – Crazy Horse. Yowsers! He’s gathered a dream team of Patricia Folly (choreographer and dancer at Crazy Horse), David Lynch and Swizz Beats to create the music and photographer Youssef Nabil to shoot the poster shot (above). “The language of legs can express any and every feeling.” Louboutin has said, so Grazia Daily were quite obviously eager to find out if we’d be able to see any video evidence of the legs and their marvellous shoes in action, but due to the amount of nudity, it’s a no… Well, with it starting on March 4, we’ll simply extend our Eurostar ticket post-fashion week!
