MANY incredible catwalk creations never make it to stores, but today Alexander McQueen will begin retailing the futuristic visors seen on the autumn/winter 2012-13 catwalk.
The eyewear, which encapsulates the show's "beautiful future" theme, is UV protected and - contrary to appearances - perfectly see-through. The visors will be available from Alexander McQueen stores, online at www.alexandermcqueen.com, and from selected retailers worldwide priced at £270.
Several seasons ago, for spring/summer 2010, the brand sent models down the catwalk in its gravity-defying Armadillo shoes - which measured more than 12 inches from heel to top - but never released them for sale.
